Though Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been touted the hottest couple in town, their on-screen chemistry failed to make an impact on the masses in Tashan.
But Saif disagrees with the situation. "I’ve just done one or two scenes with Kareena in the film. She was paired opposite Akshay Kumar in the film. This is not the end for us. We will definitely work together in the future. Yet I think it is for the masses to decided who clicks or who doesn’t," says Saif, who is very keen to talk about the films he’s doing. He feels that it’s important to focus on quality projects rather than sign deals without bound scripts. His next film, the Kunal Kohli directed Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic with Rani Mukerji is a lovey-dovey role. "The film is all about a crazy businessman who is punished by the law to look after a bunch of children. The character that I play is not fond of children and our lives are in a mess when an angel descends from the clouds and makes life lovable," he elaborates. Saif is all geared to explore previously untouched territories by him. The first in this being his production company, Illuminati Films. A-list directors like Shriram Raghvan, Imtiaz Ali and Homi Adajania have been roped in to make films for his banner. In fact Raghvan will soon embark on Agent Vinod that has Saif playing the lead. Plus there’s Karan Johar’s untitled venture to be directed by Rensil D’Silva and Farhan Akhtar’s Voice From The Sky in the pipeline.
