 Mallika Sherawat has never faced a dearth of admirers ever since she burst on to the screens in her dare-all bare-all avtar some moons ago.
Now, established production houses too seem to have fallen for her charms, not to mention business acumen too. The reason, she’s not seen in bit parts in big films, is that she simply doesn’t agree with that kind of cinema. And she wants more than just being the glam quotient in a film. Not happy with the films that are offered to her, the smart actress has found a way out of her dilemma in her quintessential, different style. Instead of moping about her situation, she has gone and done something about it. Mallika hears out story ideas and then commissions writers to write full fledged scripts for the ones she likes and wants to act in, with production houses like Eros and UTV ready to back the scripts she zeroes in on and produce the films for her. So instead of the hassle of floating a production house and taking care of all the baggage that comes with it, she just okays scripts and is ready to roll. Her next film with PNC after Pyaar Ke Side Effects opposite Rahul Bose, Ugli Aur Pagli is being readied for an August release and by the looks of it, it’s Mallika’s show all the way.
