Sameera Reddy :Red Alert has been declared in the hotels of Khandala in the literal and virtual sense.
The entire of unit Anant Mahadevan’s unit has booked rooms all over the city of Khandala. So much so that visitors are finding it difficult to get rooms in the town. There were complaints by the tourists who have gone holidaying there. When contacted, producer Rahul Aggarwal said, "It’s really amusing the way we have kind of taken over Khandala. We have a unit of some 350 people, who are working round the clock to conclude the shoot in the designated time frame. And then there is a constant inflow of technicians who keep coming for short durations. Naturally we needed a large number of rooms to accommodate them. Currently the situation is such, that most of the hotels do not have rooms available for tourists. We only realised when tourists started complaining about it that our unit was all over the city." Anant adds, "Initially the hotels refused to give us rooms because they are not giving discounts due to the season. But we would plead with them to give us only two rooms. After a day, we would again go begging for two more rooms for the fighters and then next day for two more. Slowly we had most of hotels with us. And they are so happy, that we are wrapping up by this weekend." Red Alert is the true story of Narsimha, a farm labourer, who desperately needed money to fund the education of his children. He finds himself in the midst of Naxalites where his mission becomes a mere subset of a greater cause that the militants pursue. The film stars Sameera Reddy, Sunil Shetty and Ayesha Dharker.
