Music: Harris Jayaraj
Director: Jeeva /Manikandan
Producer: Sunanda Murli Manohar, Dr. Murli Manohar
Dhaam- Dhoom has all the ingredients to become a hit movie and Jeeva’s meticulous screenplay has added the tinge to the movie. The music, screenplay, cinematography, and the acting of the star cast are a perfect blend to become a box office hit film. Jeeva’s previous hits titled Unnale Unnale and Ullam Ketkume back up Dhaam Dhoom to the peak of success.

Story
Gautham Subramanyiam (Ravi) is a well educated, handsome hunk of a Doctor family. Since, his father and mother are doctors; Gautham aims to become a doctor and achieves it. Gautham gets a golden opportunity to go to Russia to represent India in a week long doctor’s conference.
Gautham is delighted to receive this offer and packs his bags to fly to Russia. Meanwhile, Gautham’s beloved is introduced on the frame which happens to be Shenba (Kangana). Shenba happens to be the same village girl in which his sister resides and so they two meet and fall in love. Gautham’s parents agree to the marriage and as a happy man Gautham is ready to marry Shenba after his return to India from his Russia trip.
Finally, the journey to Russia happens and the hero reaches Moscow and completes his immigration procedures. Incidentally, Gautham meets Anna (Maria) and unknowingly the sexy lady drops her jacket at the hero. In a quickie situation the hero has no time to return the jacket and exits from the Moscow airport accompanied by his medical team.
Gautham is flabbergasted by the roads and buildings of the city and is surprised to see the city of Moscow from his hotel view. Gautham learns that the only hiccup with Russians
Is that the people are ignorant about the English language and the whole conversation with them must be made in Russian national language.
Fortunately, one fine day, Gautham discovers Anna and takes the prospect to return her coat. The two gel together well and part the ways. Meanwhile, Gautham medical conference takes place successfully and in order to celebrate its success the whole team head to a club. Gautham bumps into Anna in the night club and they two have a gala time in the club. Anna, due to heavy consumption of Liquor, intoxicates and the hero has no other choice than to accompany her to her room.
When the two reach Anna’s apartment in they settle down and sleep. Gautham is brutally dragged onto the floor by a Russian police officer the next day morning and the reason is that Anna is murdered on her sofa.
Suddenly the whole world around Gautham changes in a flash. He gets abused, accused and is jailed by the cops. The language, people and the surroundings are totally new and confusing to the hero. Fortunately at this time Arthi Chinappa (Lakshmi Rai) is appointed as a defendant lawyer to the culprit Gautham. The Indian consulate sends jayaram to Gautham rescue. Aarthi falls in love with Jayam Ravi, but suppresses her feelings when she learns about Shenba
The rest of the story revolves around how the hero is proved t be innocent? Who killed Maria and for what cause. A mix of Chases, death experiences, conspiracies and many more are the ingredients form the climax of the movie.
Performances
Jayam Ravi has done a superb acting in this film. His character is well weaved and the actor gets under the skin of the character. His emotions and the kind of expressions which he exhibits in the alien nation are applaudable.
Kangana Ranaut does her role of a village belly comfortably. But her skinny body is little bit indigestible in some scenes as south audiences relish the heroines who are little bit flabby in their vital statistics.
Lakshmi Rai comes in a deglamorised role and her surprising character as a lawyer is an interesting part in the film. Maria plays her role well which is brief.
The noteworthy part of this movie is the soothing and refreshing music with some urban touch in it. Harris music has come up splendidly and forms an integral; part in the success of the movie.
Direction in the movie is well handled by Jeeva. He succeeded to churn out the quality from the star cast and the cinematography and the beautiful locales of the Coorg and Russia and well framed in the camera.
On the whole this movie has all the ingredients to become a hit family entertainer. But some audience felt that the incidents which happen in Ravi’s past and present are little bit confusing. But the movie has a mileage of a 50 day run for sure. It can withstand the competition and complete the 100 day run too.
Hindu cinema wishes all the best 2 Dhaam Dhoom!

Satyam Movie Review
Cast: Vishal, Nayantara, Upendra, Premji Gangji, Amaran and others.
Music: Harris Jayaraj
Director: Rajasekhar
Producer: Vikram Krishna
The story of the film is the same trend which is flowing from the past 25 years. A strict police officer with valued principles and abiding the law to the utmost. He involves in eradicating criminals and saves the innocent. But the presentation is in a new and innovative way and so Vishal excels in this area of presentation.
Story
Satyam (Vishal) is an assistant commissioner of police who is involved in the investigating the murder mysteries of the ministers of state. He finds the true killer (Upendra) and learns that the killer is an ex cop who was betrayed by some misters and so is taking a revenge on them.
Moreover, Upendra is the same cop, who was an idol to Satyam and taking him as the inspiration, Satyam becomes an ACP. When the real motive behind the Killer’s activities is discovered Satyam gets surprised by the facts. But is in a belief that all punishments must be given by the Indian penal code.
Satyam challenges Upendra that he is going to nab the entire criminal’s who are in the disguise of the ministers and will also find out the leader behind the culprits. He then investigates and then finds that a minister who is having an eye of the chief ministerial post is behind the whole evil deeds. Adding to this, the same minister was behind the conspiracy against Upendra and as a result Upendra gets betrayed in his duty.
However, Satyam has a parallel love track with a TV journalist named Deivanayaki (Nayantara). She is restricted to dreams songs and some skin show to her revealing dresses.
Vishal than faces many troubles in revealing the truth and to nab the culprits. But some how reaches his goal in the end.
Performances
Vishal has done his best to fit the role of the Police officer. The training which he obtained for 1 month under a super cop has been well mimicked in this film. His muscular body and his 6 pack abs are surely applaudable. They suit to the action sequences and also to the police officers role.
Upendra, who is a top Kannada star, is another highlight in this film. his versatile acting skills are well exposed in the role of a serial killer.
Nayantara is restricted as a glam doll of Vishal and is seen for a brief period. Her skin show in the songs and her body language while enacting romantic scenes with the hero are surely worth mentioning.
Rest of the cast is apt for their respective role. Kota Srinivas rao who is originated as an actor from Tollywood does his villains role perfectly. Senthil tries to ignite some comedy in the film.
Harris Jayaraj’s music is below average. His previous hit music comprising is seen lacking in this film.
Rajsekhar, the director of this film has presented the same script before the audience. However, the screen play in some sequences is new and innovative. But the Telugu flavor in a Kollywood film will surely be a black mark for Satyam.
On the whole the film is a sure disappointment for Vishal fans. One wonders, why the hero took almost 13 months to do this film.
God Tussi Great Ho Review

When it comes to escapist cinema, a gifted writer can make his imagination run really wild. Think of a crazy story, come up with outrageous and zany situations, rope in actors who’d look believable in those parts… hey presto, a crazy potboiler is ready to be served.
Rumy Jafry, who has penned some crazy comedies in the past, does just that. He borrows [partly] from BRUCE ALMIGHTY, also [partly] from YEHI HAI ZINDAGI [Sanjeev Kumar] and [partly] uses his imagination to come up with GOD TUSSI GREAT HO. But this khichdi isn’t as delicious as one expects it to be.
GOD TUSSI GREAT HO has some really interesting moments. At least two sequences — [i] When a dejected Salman throws the taveez in the air, the taveez reaches God, later God appears in human form and [ii] Salman invents a chair that acts as a lie detector and teaches Sohail Khan a lesson — are pure magic in terms of writing, in terms of execution, in terms of performance.
nother ace is Salman Khan. The boyish appeal, the mischievous look, the loud-but-lovable act just cannot be overlooked.
But GOD TUSSI GREAT HO isn’t as captivating and arresting at times. The potential to come up with an energetic second half are immense in a film like this, but Rumy Jafry’s writing is plain mediocre. Besides, the second hour is lengthy, it gets tedious ['Lal Chunariya' song should be deleted right away]. Also, the pre-climax and climax don’t sweep you off your feet.
In a nutshell, GOD TUSSI GREAT HO does appeal, but in bits and spurts. Not in totality. An average experience!
At the end of the worst day in his life, Arun [Salman Khan] angrily rages against God for making his life miserable. To his astonishment, God [Amitabh Bachchan] appears before him in human form and endowing Arun with all of His divine powers, challenges Arun to take on the big job and see if he can do it any better.
Arun responds to his newfound powers with childlike zeal and sets off making one decision after another. The love of his life Alia [Priyanka Chopra] is astonished at the ‘new’ decisive and confident Arun. He thinks he can make the world a happy place by granting everybody their wishes.
But to his horror, this results in unprecedented mayhem. Ultimately, Arun realises that he is only human, and being God is tougher than he thought.
Rumy Jafry has penned several solid entertainers for David Dhawan and the formula looms large all through GOD TUSSI GREAT HO. Rumy rides on myths and comedy to get it right and it really works at times. However, after a point, the writing doesn’t spring any surprises. You know exactly what’s in store next and that’s what bogs the film down.
In terms of impact, the best portions are between Bachchan and Salman, between Salman and Anupam Kher and between Salman and Rajpal Yadav. These tracks charge up the scenario. But how one misses a meatier script in the second hour.
Directorially, Rumy Jafry’s work gets easier thanks to the presence of seasoned actors. But he needs to polish his skills as far as technique is concerned. The film could’ve been stylishly shot. Sajid-Wajid’s music is strictly okay. However, the picturisation of songs camouflages the deficiency. Ashok Mehta’s cinematography is perfect. The production design/making could’ve been grand, given the presence of such powerful names in the cast. Special effects lack finesse.
As always, Amitabh Bachchan is competent. But GOD TUSSI GREAT HO belongs to Salman Khan, who seems to be in form this time. Priyanka doesn’t match Salman’s enthusiasm. Also, why is her look so inconsistent in the film? Sohail Khan is alright.
Anupam Kher is fantastic. Bina Kak is fair. Rukhsaar doesn’t get much scope. Rajpal Yadav provides a few laughs. Dalip Tahil is as usual. Upasna Singh is getting typecast. Ditto for Sanjay Mishra.
On the whole, GOD TUSSI GREAT HO is average in merits, providing a few laughs intermittently. At the box-office, the holiday weekend should benefit the film. But beyond the weekend, the journey could be uneven. However, single screens should fare better in the Hindi belt.
Siddarth Anand may well be famous now for making his heroes and heroines kiss on the Indian celluloid.
We manage to catch the movie premiere today and boy it was a blast. How not to, with 3 gorgeousfresh faces and a newly refined hero to top it off. It doesn’t hurt either that Ranbir had his shirt off half the time.
Ranbir has in fact grew from Saawariya to Bachna Ae Haseeno. He handles emotional scenes now with more flair and comfortability, a much different flight from Saawariya where his emotional scenes seem more “played” and rehearsed. His comic timic is also better and he comes across as the killer dashing young man with a heart of a romantic. And he plays the role with aplomb, probably a slight depature from his usual quiet self in real life.
Deepika looked, most importantly gorgeous and relevant. Her diction can be worked upon and her voice tends to trail off in scenes, maybe it is the dubbing but you lose her in quiet emotional scenes because her voice seems unclear and unnatural. But as usual, who cares about that when you have a stunning beauty to feast your eyes upon? Her character thouh might need more fleshing or it could be a mishap on her part but hey, give the girl face, believe it or not, this is only her second release.
Bipasha as usual sizzled on screen throughout. The Bengali beauty proved that age is just a number as she practically towers the rest of the younger cast with her screen presence and her in your face sexuality. He rbody is to die for and her bitchy diva attitude on the second half of the show was entertaining to watch as much as she was comfortable with a more subdued pesona in the first half of the movie.
Minissha, and this is from my first hand judgement since this is the first movie of hers that I am watching. Although amongst heavyweights and far more commercially recognized cast, Minissha proved her mettle in Bachna; from the lovelorn gil who has an ideal of Raj from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to the loveless marriage that she is in, Minissha proved that she is a natural in front of the camera and she is very pretty too.
Kunal Kapoor was swoonsome as a special apperance and the directing was fast paced and sweet, sugary and almost fairytale: A staple in Yash Raj Films.
Siddarth Anand, like Salaam Namaste as usal was bringing his contemporary, relevant and modern take on love stories though we sometimes prefer the novelty of culture and colours (which was beautifully picturized on Jogi Mahi) and had us yearning for more of the Indian stamp.
Overall the movie was enjoyable, the perfect date movie and it will leave you hopelessly romantic, like for 20 minutes after the movie ends.
