Cast: Sundar C, Namitha Kapoor, Ragini and others

Music: Srikanth Deva

Director: G. Kitcha

Production: Sree Movie makers

Sundar C is slowly easing into the slot of top actors with his simultaneous release. Two weeks back it was Perumal which was in the theatres and the movie was said to gather an average talk. Now, with THEE, Sundar has carved his place among the top stars of Kollywood. Though the subject has been scraped from a Telugu movie, the nativity in the subject remains the same.

Story

Sundar C plays the role of a policeman who is vexed up being a puppet in the hands of the politicians. The opening scene of THEE shows him roaming naked on the roads and the public look at him as a wild man in a forest. He decides to venture out into politics and so with no clothes on his body goes to a politician. The politician is happy that Sundar has hammered his political rival and so asks him to accompany him to a lady who is a dreaded politician.

The role is played by Namitha who is shown in a glamorous way by taking a massage and then a steam bath in skimpy clothes. She pumps her heart at the first glimpse of Sundar and so promises him that she will make him a politician in the coming elections.

Sundar by his witty thoughts wins the hearts of the voters and becomes a politician. He fetches the votes by purchasing the voters and wins the elections with a majority. Romance grows in the heart of Namitha and Sundar is seen massaging the gorgeous lay on her legs, waist and neck.

After winning the elections, Sundar demands a crore for each work he does for his voters. He justifies his money demand by saying that he induced large chunks of money in order to win the lections and so wants the money back into his pocket. He does favors for his voters when they pay him money.

Incidentally, Sundar’s past life is brought on the screen. Sundar is actually a police officer who is betrayed by some politicians. His wife which is the character played by Ragini is in a coma due to the evil deeds of his rivals she is pregnant, but is not in a stage to know it.

Sundar after becoming a politician treats his wife with some privileged medical supervision in order to at least save his child who is in the womb of his wife. A duty minded police officer’s life is mirrored in Sundar’s Police man role.

What does Sundar achieve by becoming a politician from a policeman is a suspense which has to be seen on a big silver screen? The movie has some thrilling scenes and some hair rising statements which are poised at the present political situation in center and state.

Performances

Sundar C has lived up to the character in the movie THEE to the fullest. He gets into the skin of the character and makes the character reveal the societies present situation.

Namitha is surely a dolly of highlight in this movie THEE. She sizzles as a political aide who has large chunks of money in her lavish house. Her steaming sessions, massage sessions, romance with sundar C will make her fans satisfied with her skin show.

Ragini plays the role of Sundar’s wife in few scenes and then is seen on the hospital bed. She has done her part well and has given her 100% to the movie.

The comedy part is attained by the ridicules statements made by the politician’s which includes Sundar C. it churns some laughter in series situations and makes the audience think about the scenario.

Music is below average, but is apt for this sort of film.

Kitcha has come up with a meaningful subject this time and has directed the movie well. Apart from few scenes every scenes makes the audiences think about politics prevailing in India. Kitcha has used Namitha is a usual way as a glam queen and this may become a highlight of the film.

On the whole the movie is said to be a true story which happened in Andhra Pradesh. According to the Tamil audiences the movie has been carved and is presented. Long run of the movie is not possible, but will leave a mark in the minds of the audiences.

Nenu Devudni

Cast: Arya, Pooja, Umashanker, Kannan, Simgapuli, Bharathi and others

Music: Ilayaraja

Director: Bala

Producer: KS Srinivasan

Nenu Devudni is a bit difficult cinema to explain. But yes it has every element to enthrall the audiences. The movie gives a disturbing film, like Shivaputrudu gave when it was released. But this feeling is unexplainable, indigestible and total distressed.

Story

Nenu Devudni is a story about a boy who is astrologically unlucky to grow in a house along with his father. So, his father decides to leave him in Kasi and is forced due to some incidents to bring back the abandoned boy to his home after 15 years.

The father gets the boy finally with a difficult search. But he gets a beast in the disguise of a man. Kala Bhairava (Arya) grows up in the company of Aghori Sadhus and is young, wild and hairy man who is uncivilized behaviors. He is always uttering some words which the sadhus feed him and is like a psychologically pathetic human. The growing conditions of Kala Bhairava (Arya) make him shape up his life in such a way. Like any other human, he never gets the exposure to civilization, studies, working habits and instead grown up with corpses around him as Kasi is said to be an open air crematorium. He grows up seeing the aghori sadhus chanting the incessant, meditating for attaining godly powers and drinking Bhang which is available to them unlimitedly.
Kala Bhairava (Arya) is brought back to the city of Chennai in a hope that he learns the way of living and the needs of the society. Kala Bhairava (Arya) father wants him to bond with the humans, his family and mainly his parents as he is their child who has been abandoned for all these years. But Kala Bhairava is totally vexed with his parents and goes and lives with beggars who reside near a temple.

Then the life of beggars is shown to the audiences in a pathetic way the temple beggars who are deaf, dumb, blind, handicapped and harmed by poverty are highlighted in the movie. Their lives and their day to distressing life is revealed. Thandavan (Thamizhmani) who is said to be the ruler to the beggars is introduced onto the frame and this makes the audience even sadder, shock disgust and sinks the nature of every human to re think on the beggars who are concluded to be the worst creatures on the planet. Hamsavalli (Pooja) is the heroine in this film who is blind and is a part of the temple beggars.

The struggle of life of the beggars is then revealed in the film and then Kala Bhairava (Arya) deeds make the audience think that we humans unnecessarily search for god who best resides in the hearts of every human.

Performances

Actor Arya has done a superb acting in Nenu Devudni. His acting talents and the kind of glitter in his eyes show by the director is extra ordinary. His get up in the film like an uncivilized man in search of god is remarkable and impeccable. The audiences sometimes get a feeling that Actor Arya was born to play the character of Kala Bhairava in this film Nenu Devudni and no one can replace his talent in churning out the character realistically. The reciting of dialogues fro, language to language is great.

Pooja plays the character of Hamsavalli with a lot of easiness. One gets a feeling that’s he is a full ledged actress playing the role of a blind girl with a sweet voice. She is sure to get an award in Tamil film industry.

Thandavan the villain is so realistic who gives us a thought about the real life of the beggars who are in the cruel pangs of some rude lords who make them beg for money.

Bala needs a lot of explanations in this film. His classic way of portraying different characters in the film is superb and the way he directed the movie with his signature is excellent. But in some areas he should have opened a bit like the beggars life revelation, sorcerers and the Aghori Sadhus life. The recitation of Sanskrit and Hindi words should have titles at the bottom of the screen in order to get a better understanding.

Music by Illayaraja is apt according to the film with the haunting, but touching background.
On the whole the movie is not everyone’s cup of coffee and must be seen with a brave heart to digests some scenes which are said to be truths in an Aghori’s Sadhu’s life.

This movie is a sure stuff aimed at the mass crowds and the sadness, cruelty, shock, suspense, strangeness and intrigue make the audiences thrilled. But the movie is missing the entertainment element and so may sink in its journey in just 20 days time.

Naan Kaduval

Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam- Movie Review

Cast: Siddharth, Tamannah, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandham, Ramya Krishna, Nazar, Sunil, Venu Madhav and others.

Music: Shanker- Ehsaan- Loy

Director: Kishore Kumar

Producer: Nallamalupu Srinivas aka Bujji.
Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam is a typical family entertainer which has been carved in the lines of Siddharth’s previous movie “Bommarillu”, but has a different concept of storyline. The feel of the movie is same, but the story, screenplay and the direction look different in an innovative way. This whole movie revolves around Siddharth and his love Tamannah and the kind of circumstances they face from their elders, after falling in love

Story

Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam is about a young chap whose name is Siddharth which is the role played by actor Siddharth. Siddhu (Siddharth) is a go easy boy, who has passed out MBA degree course and is still in search of girls, fun and the funda of life. He likes to enjoy the whole time and wants to live his youngster’s life fully.  Siddhu is a child born to divorced parents who live their lives separately. Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishna play these roles.
Geeta (Tamannah) is a daughter of a village landlord Nazar and wants to further study in the city. She is serious about her life and on he whole is a package of wits, beauty and wisdom. She pleads her father and somehow manages the acquiescence from her father and comes to the city to pursue her further studies

Incidentally like in every film, the hero Siddhu and the heroine Geeta meet and after some reel flow, fall in love. But the two hesitate to discover love in time, but when Geeta leaves to her village, she discovers that she is in love with the hero. She feels the care and the missing feeling and concludes that she is serious about Siddhu. Geeta discloses the same to her elders and Nazar who understands her accepts her love. He finds out the details that Siddhu is a child of two divorced parents and this fact obstructs his thought from marrying his daughter to Siddhu.

He asks one question to Siddhu when he meets him. He wants his girl’s secured life and wants Siddhu to unite his parents first and then think about his love. Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishna make up the rest of the story and Siddhu plans the reunion of his mother and father.

Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam  is a film with comedy, sentiment, romance, love and quality mixed in an innovative way.

Performances

Siddharth, like his previous has given his best to the movie. His language, expressions, dialogue delivery is perfect and this is the second time that he is playing the character of son to Prakash Raj. The on screen chemistry in between Prakash Raj is perfect. His easiness with Ramya Krishna who plays the mother character resembles real life mother and son on screen.

Tamannah looks hot in some scenes and is shown in a homely manner. Her acting is improving day by day and her eyes reveal everything. She looks gorgeous.

Ramya Krishna plays the role of a mother in this film. Seen as a full fledged actress, she is now laying the character roles which are according to her age. As usual she gives 100% to her character.

Prakash Raj’s character is impeccable and seeing him play a fathers role in this film, seems nothing new.

Nazar plays the role like a typical Indian father in this film. The movie moves in the second half by his character and his inquisition.

The comedy track lead by Brahmanandham is hilarious which is well supported by Venu Madhav and Sunil in Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam.

Music though looks a bit glitzy in some moments has been scored according to the feel of the movie. But one can easily understand that the nativity factor is important to a film which is missing in the music of this film.

Director Kishore has come up with a best story and a one which will be relished by the whole family. On the whole, Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam is a family entertainer and will run for sure a 50 day run. And releasing at the time of Valentine season, it is for sure that love birds will throng the theaters to see this film.
