Sa-Ro-Ja is a movie with some tinge into it. It is not a usual commercial movie, but is different in the story aspect. Directed by a Tamil director Venkat Prabhu who is well known for his innovations, Sa-Ro-Ja stands out in screenplay and the way it has been narrated with some thrilling suspense at the end.

Story

The film opens with four friends, who are carefree about their future and are merry with the present life. Fortunately, one of the friends gets engaged and to ease the pressure off them the four friends plan for a trip after the engagement ceremony. They decide to start for Hyderabad and watch a live cricket match in a stadium.

So, the friends start their trip to Hyderabad by road. But their trip meets a hiccup in the form of the traffic jam. So, four of the friends decided to take up another route to evade the traffic jam and to reach their destination on time.

But as a ill fate drives them through a ill route. They get involved in a murder of a cop. But later on discover that some gundas were already chasing the cop and were the real murderers of the cop. However, the cop gets killed and in order to save their lives the four friends escape from the place.

Saroja is a daughter of a famous business tycoon Vishwanath (Prakash Raj). She is young, beautiful and innocently witty. One day somehow Saroja goes missing and Vishwanth is horrified to known that his daughter has been kidnapped. The reason he assumes is that she has been kidnapped for some ransom.

Vishwanth has a very good pal Ravi (Sri Hari) who is a police officer of top cadre by profession. Ravi has a background that he is a kind person at heart and a offers his support in helping the poor by giving some asylum needs. He is honest and advices people who approach him to donate some money to the poor.

As the fate dictates, the four friends who are on the run to escape the murder of the cop incidentally meet Saroja. They save her from the kidnappers from a railway station. They accompany her and run for some shelter. Now the gundas who were chasing Saroja aim to catch hold of the four friends and Saroja. They chase them.

At the railway station, Vishwanth meets his daughter and a new twist is added to the thrill. The honest cop Ravi turns into a killer who wants to kill Vishwanath. He turns in a villain in Vishwanath’s life and aims to kill him. But Vishwanath manages to kill the cop.,

But what made the honest officer become a killer? What was the motive? The answers for these questions are suspense and have to be found out on the silver screen. So please go and watch.

Performances

Prakash Raj played the role of the business tycoon with ease. He is a lively person on screen and off screen. As usual he never acted in this film, but lived it thoroughly.

Sri Hari as a honest cop looks cool. With his toned body and armed muscles he looks leveled as a police officer.

Kajol agarwal has a brief role in this film, but gave her full performance.

Nikitha plays a short role like a vamp. She looks electrifying in some scenes.

The excellent cinematic approach of the story with suspense as its main ingredient is a highlight of this movie. All those people who are in a look out for a different genre film will love it like a feast.

The music is apt and silent. But is well versed in one or two songs. Comedy element lacking may make this movie a strict known for comedy lovers.

On the whole for all the off beat film lovers Sa-Ro-Ja is your tonic. It keeps you on your feet and will give you every worth of your penny.

The film will last for 3 weeks in the theatre.
