Abhiyum Naanum which is the much awaited and hyped up film of actress Trisha is finally out in the theaters. The movie revolves around the daughter and father sentiment and the emotional bond of the father in caressing his daughter from the crux of the society forms the final ending of the story. The movie is on a message oriented front and is different from the usual commercial movie which has love, sentiment and action in the lead.
Raghuram (Prakash Raj) is a proud father of Abhi (Trisha). He is elated when a small baby girl is born to his wife Anus (Aishwarya). The couple looks after their child with immense love and pampering. Raghuram develops a special bond with his baby child. He looks after her, pampers her, and also his innocent but sweet love towards his daughter is well carved. Especially the scene win which Raghuram catches and kisses the sweet red toes of the baby child is heart touching.
As the child grows up, the daughter father relationship gets cemented. Abhi (Trisha) gets more affectionately attached to her father Raghuram and they both share a special bond in between them. Raghuram embraces his daughter in his arms and teaches them the basic guidelines which have to be followed in the society. He wants to save his daughter from all the evil fangs which the normal young girl faces in the society day to day.
He gets a new cycle to Abhi and then when she goes to school, Raghuram follows her in order to secure her from any kind of troubles. Soon the girl grows up, but the bond in-between the father Raghuram and daughter Abhi remains the same. Raghuram shows the parent bond towards his daughter, but at the same time he is not over possessive.
When Abhi asks for the permissions to pursue her post graduation degree, Prakash Raj welcomes the sign with a smile and permits her to go to Delhi in order to complete her post graduation. But, Abhi comes home with a journalist boyfriend and wants to marry him as she thinks that he is her soul mate of life. Abhi’s boyfriend happens to be a other religion candidate and due to varied reason Raghuram objects the marriage.
What is the real need for objecting the marriage forms the climax of the story which has to be watched on the silver screen? Is Raghuram against the inter caste marriage or is he worried about the superior position of the bride groom is the suspense.
Prakash Raj steals the whole show. His impeccable acting is flawless as a protective father and his bond with his daughter makes every senior audience realize the parental concern show by them towards their children. He is perfect for the role of a caring father and especially his drogues in the climax and his action are superb and applaudable.
Trisha as a darling daughter of Prakash Raj has done her duty with utmost satisfaction. Her fans will be satisfied with her acting and her role in this film and will be contended with their glam doll in a girl next door role.
Aishwarya play’s her small role very well and her acting gives us an effect of a real life mother.
The music by Vidya Sagar is average and looks apt for the typical story about a daughter and a father.
On the whole, the movie is a perfect director’s credit and for all those who are bored with the usual ingredients of the commercial movie scan goes for this movie this week end.
Most of the youngsters may feel that this movie is simply boring, but when they see it with their parents the real crux of the movie will be inserted into their minds.
