RIDE is a movie which belongs to the present generation youth, love, friendship and such delicate ingredients which are vital for life. The value of friendship is shown in a different angle in this movie and the teenage beauty Swetha forms the main attraction.

Story

Mahesh (Tanish) deserts his studies in order to back up his family financially. He is the only son of Kasi Vishwanath and Tulasi and has two sisters who are younger to him. His father retires from his job and so Mahesh takes up a job in a chit fund company as a collection executive. The job needs two wheelers and so Mahesh’s mother funds him by selling some silver items from the house.

Meanwhile, there is another family of Ahuti Prasad and his wife Sudha. They have two songs and Arjun (Nani) is their elder son. Arjun has a passion to own and ride his bike.. He keeps on demanding it in the house, but Ahuti Prasad for various reasons keeps on postponing it.

Tanish incidentally meets Swetha Basu Prasad and they soon fall in love with each other after few reels are run. In the meantime, Nani falls in love with Aksha who is his classmate. The two love birds are happy with their ongoing life till an unfortunate incident takes place. Tanish discovers that his bike is stolen and he is in distress as it is his daily transport and support for his job. He lodges a police complaint and one day finds it with Nani. Tanish misunderstood Nani to be the thief of his bike.

Unfortunately, in a passion to own a bike, Nani purchases a bike from a stolen bike broker and the bike happens to Tanish. Nani earns the bike from the money which he fetches from a race.

When Tanish wants to claim his bike from Nani, the latter has no reason to return the bike to Tanish. After a much heated argument the two come to a solution. They decide to share the bike for half day every day.

After some days in the process of sharing the bike, Tanish and Nani become close friends. But alas! This time again the bike gets stolen and this gives them a mighty shock. The culprit is unknown and the remaining story is suspense.

Performances

Tanish plays his character of a middle class boy very well the naturalistic looks of him and dancing and expressions are perfect.

Nani shares the screen space with Tanish very well. They give their 100% to their respective characters and their innocent fresh faces suit the movie’s script perfectly.

Swetha Basu Prasad has turned into a hot bomb in this film. Her sexy outfits and seductive eyes make the males mesmerized. Though she is still in her teens, her assets are luring and attractive. She is seen in some sleeveless outfits where her arm pits with minute hair are revealed. This can turn on a man and also can turn off a male.

Aksha plays her minute character very well. Ahuthi Prasad, tulasi, kasi Vishwanath, Brahmanandham add the characters to increase the reel life. The movie is well set on the present generation college life and the two middle class families. The music by Indian Idol fame Hema Chandra is also okay. Direction by Varma is average and looks bitsy in some scenes.

On the whole, the movie RIDE may appeal to the college students and may run at least for 30 days in theatres. Anything more than that is impossible.
