Yaavarum Nalam which is almost 10 day old film is slowly inching its steps towards success. The movie which is a bilingual film which was made in Hindi and Tamil is said to be catching the attention of the movie buffers.
With a script filled with suspense and thrill in the second half, this film has managed to grab the attention of some of the international production houses. The movie is going to be remade in a slightly changed format and Weinstein Company is said to be stepping forwards.
This movie was stalled at the Berlin film festival recently where it caught the attention of Weinstein Company which was in joint collaboration with Disney Pictures till 2005.Now this company has come up to remake Yaavarum Nalam in a period of 11 months. The company has claimed that it will remake it, but has not finalized the cast and crew yet.
Weinstein Company is famous to produce pictures such as Rambo-2008, Nutty Professor-2008 and Halloween-2007. The company has sent a representative to India to look for the legal hassles and the remake rights of this film.
Some sources reveal that Madhavan may get the nod to play the lead in this film’s English remake. If this turns out to be a fact, then R. Madhavan will become an international famous star. It is reported that a Tamil film being remade in English will bring immense honor to Kollywood.
