TAMIL ACTRESS Ranjitha, who has been identified as the woman seen in the sex tape of Swami Nithyananda has apparently attemped suicide, although it is not yet clear whether it is a fact or a rumour. It is being speculated that Ranjitha tried to kill herself over the sex scandal, which has caused a major controversy and embarrassment for the actress and due to the media attention.

The actress, who has also acted in Telugu movies such as Maavichiguru and Sriramulayya was earlier married to an army man.

People are pointing fingers at her after the Nityananda video was released by a leading tv channel in South India. Ranjitha has has not made any statement though, the scandal surfaced few days ago.

It is said that the police have filed two cases against the Godman for cheating and offending religious sentiments even as the ashram authority claim that the alleged sex video is fake and morphed.
